The annual Ottawa City Wide Fall Cleanup weekend is coming soon, as in tomorrow, October 20th and Saturday, October 21st. Dumpsters are being placed in various locations around town for residents to put their junk in. They are available from 8:00 in the morning until 3:00 in the afternoon. They will be located in the parking lot west of City Hall and at the Salt Storage Shed on North Cherry. Tires will only be accepted at the North Cherry location. Be sure to bring an ID. Absolutely NO batteries and NO liquids are allowed to be put in the dumpsters. Oil based paints can be disposed of at the Franklin County Recycle Center.
There is an emphasis on cleaning the community well this year. During a recent Study Session, there were several comments that there is too much trash scattered around town and residents need to be more mindful about littering.
So, get out and clean up your yard, garage, or wherever that junk may be located. Ottawa City Wide Clean-up tomorrow and Saturday.
