The Ottawa City Commission pulled a couple of surprises during the regular meeting Wednesday morning… at least it was a surprise to most people. One item was a request that the city donate $475,000 to help with the expansion of Legacy Square. Onward Ottawa Co-Chair Davie Lee, told about the vision:
When it came time to vote on the donation, several commissioners said they felt uncomfortable over not having had enough time to go over the sources of the donations and other details, so they tabled action on the matter.
In a second surprise, the Commission decided to delay reviewing quarterly reports as scheduled, but rather go over them at a Study Session. Both matters are expected to be on the agenda at Monday, October 23rd, Study Session.
