The tragic death of a Louisburg woman and her eight year-old son in Louisburg last week has local ties. Forty-one year old Susan Stafford shot and killed her son before killing herself at a home they shared with her fiance in Louisburg. Stanford is a 1999 graduate of Central Heights High School and used to live in Richmond. At Central Heights she participated in a number of academic and athletic clubs, was a cheerleader, played in the band was on the softball team.
