With early voting now open for the upcoming general election, five candidates are vying for positions on the USD 290 School Board. One of the newcomers trying to gain a seat on the board is Diedre Altic. She worked as a teacher in Ottawa schools for 36 years. She comments on how hard it is to retain school staff.
The election is November 7th. If you are registered and would like to vote early, educate yourself on the issues and the candidates and visit the Franklin County Clerk’s Office. The polls on November 7th will be open from 7:00 in the morning until 7:00 at night.
