An interesting race in the upcoming general election in Osawatomie. Incumbent, Lawrence Dickinson will face off with challenger Shay Hanysak for the Osawatomie City Council Seat in Ward 1. Dickenson says he intends to continue to represent citizens in his Ward by progressing projects that move the city into the future responsibly. He says there is no pausing or going back to the way things were. He says there are no short term fixes and the progress requires long term planning and work for the city to move forward
Hanysak says it’s time for change and the city needs to elect new city council members who will bring a fresh perspective and more relevant experience. Hanysak says Osawatomie has a rich history and plenty of wonderful traditions that are embraced by both the people who have grown up in oz and those who have had the opportunity to move in and want to turn things around when it comes to expanding economically.
