The city of Garnett is fortunate to have a number of business owners, employees, service workers and local leaders that are women. Seventy-one million of the national work force are women and 30% of all businesses are owned by women. The Garnett Business and Professional Women’s group, known as BPW sponsors many events in the community, some that have become annual events and parts of what makes garnett what it is.
When summer arrives, expect to see another edition of the BPW Square Fair, started decades ago. Then you have the women’s fair, the upcoming holiday boutique and political forums. Not only that, the garnett BPW provides scholarships to local female graduates to help them continue to pursue their dreams through college and into their careers. They are leading the way for young women to follow into the future.
