The Ottawa City Commission has voted, by the slimmest of margins, to contribute almost half a million dollars to help expand Legacy Square, to include Main Street and Downtown. Before taking the vote, Commissioner Sara Caylor said she’s disappointed in the Franklin County Commission:
It should be noted that Franklin County did help with financing the construction of the original Legacy Square. The vote to donate about $475,000 was 3 to 2, with City Commissioners Zach Clayton and Emily Graves voting against the measure.
