After a, seemingly at times torturous, discussion on whether to contribute almost half a million dollars to the expansion of Legacy Square, the Ottawa City Commission has finally voted 3 to 2 to make the donation. During discussion at the City Commission Study Session, Commissioner Sara Caylor had a reminder:
Those voting against the donation were Commissioners Zach Clayton and Emily Graves, who cited some other projects needing funding . The approximately $475,000 will come from American Rescue Funds, a COVID 19 relief package passed by the Federal Government.
