November is Native American Heritage Month, and the Ottawa City Commission has approved a proclamation in recognition of the event. Anastasia Dixon-stwyer of Ottawa University accepted the presentation:
Dixon-Stwyer says Native Americans have triumphed over the injustices and it’s fitting that a month be set aside to honor her people.
