The financial plight of small hospitals continues to be one of great concern and it came up for discussion at the Eggs and Issues program at AdventHealth Ottawa. Kansas Hospital Association CERO Chad Austin says people are asking lots of questions.
A number of years ago, when discussions were ongoing about the future of Ransom Memorial Hospital, there were some that feared that Ransom would close unless an affiliation could be done. Financial pressure is at least part of the reason Ransom Memorial Hospital eventually became AdventHealth Ottawa.
