A new software program at the Franklin County Public Works Department is giving a lot of new information not previously available. Public Works Director David Lee gave the top five projects.
These include 554 brush and tree projects, 602 additions of gravel, 144 culverts, 172 ditching projects, 16 road rebuilds, 1400 signs, 116 trash pickup projects, 205 road patches, and 753 service calls. Eighty-one percent of these have been completed.
Lee also related that he has been asked to participate in a study that will evaluate new methods of reducing dust on gravel roads.
