The Linn County News reports that the owners of Maynerd’s food truck in Mound City have begun an initiative to help provide food for Linn County families that are in need. Raymond and Melayna Johnson have started the “Feed Linn County Initiative”. They says they know people are struggling and if just a few people can pull together, they can help those in need. So far the couple has donated three boxes of food and bought a propane heater for a family without heat.. They are trying to give out information on other resources as well. If you would like to help them, a donation box for food has set up at the food truck and a jar for monetary donations is inside 5-17 Vintage. Both in the 500 block of Main street in Mound City.
