A request that Franklin County vacate a portion of a road right-of-way along Louisiana Terrace is causing some friction among land owners. The road in question covers about 1700 feet from about the 4234 to the 4300 block of Louisiana Terrace. One land owner is Steve Bailey and he states trouble is increasing.
Other landowners want the road to remain open. The County Commission eventually agreed to a request by Road Superintendent Jeff Weldon, that he be given a chance to make some improvements to the area to make it less appealing to troublemakers.
