Every year, the governor’s mansion in Topeka is the recipient of a Christmas tree, selected from one of the state’s Christmas tree farms. It adorns the governor’s mansion through the Christmas season. This year, that tree is coming from Franklin County. Peckham’s Pleasant Ridge Christmas Tree Farm in Rantoul has the honor, and owner Harry Peckham says there is another Franklin county business involved.
