The final presentation for phase 2 of Oz Commons has been rescheduled. Recommendations will be presented at the December 14th, meeting of the Osawatomie City Council. The team will share an overview of the report and recommendations formed from community input, research, and their expertise. City officials say that this project is a critical step in turning the city’s vision from phase one into a reality, which will continue to enhance the bicycle and pedestrian network and build off the unique community character in Osawatomie. The ultimate goal is to have an area of downtown known as “the hub” become a destination for not only residents but those heading to the trails or coming from the trails. The hub will have a variety of amenities such as tables, water stations, charging ports and more. Anyone interested in the final plan should attend the meeting on December 14th.
