Fire struck a Garnett family’s home recently. The Garnett Fire Department responded to a home owned by Jerry Gettler and Tonia Dilley on Redbud Avenue last week. Upon arrival, first responders saw flames engulfing the left side porch of the home and quickly went to work fighting the blaze. Fortunately, everyone got out safely and uninjured, however, the couple sustained heavy damage to the home and lost a large amount of the clothing and household items.
