Winter weather has already touched our area once this season and you know that no matter how nice it is now, more snow and ice will eventually affect us. Before it hits, it’s important to have your winter weather plan in place. Franklin County Emergency Management Director, Thomas Winter:
Winter adds that it’s also a good idea to have a plan for your home. Fixing drafty windows, changing the filter on your furnace, having plenty of blankets. During icy weather, don’t be on the road unless you absolutely have to; but, if you are have an emergency kit in the car with blankets, a flashlight, and make sure your phone is fully charged.
