Construction of the Panasonic electric car battery plant in DeSoto is coming along quickly and with that, other companies that will supply the Panasonic facility are starting to pop up around the area. Franklin County Development Council Director, Paul Bean, says that so far those companies have chosen to build in the North Kansas City area; however, he thinks they would be wise to look to the Ottawa area and build in Proximity Park:
He adds that Proximity Park is shovel ready and the gas line will be completed soon, meaning all utilities will be installed. Also, a new water tower will be constructed soon to provide better water service to the park and surrounding area.
