The Patriotic Banners that have hung on Main Street in Ottawa the past several weeks will only increase next year. Project coordinators say over 50 new ones have been ordered so far. Ottawa Middle Schooler, Addison Lowderman has a brother, Cayden Lowderman, who is in the army. She explains why she thinks the banners are important:
The banners have been attracting the attention of Ottawans since they have been placed. The city is in the process of taking down the banners for winter storage. They will be hung again a week or two before Veterans Day next fall.
If you would like to order a banner, you can find a link on the website: “franklincountyhonors.org”. Paper copies are available at the Pizza Village. Organizers will also be at the Eagle Club tomorrow, December 9th, from 2:00 to 5:00. The deadline for ordering is February 13th.
