The Osage County Sheriff’s Office had a huge save recently. They actually may have saved Christmas. Deputies captured the ‘grinch’, who was stealing toys meant for kids in need. The toys, collected for Operation Christmas for Kids, were recovered in time to continue the cherished tradition. The ‘grinch’, held in custody, even lent a hand in carrying the toys. Sheriff Well says they were overwhelmed this year with toys. First responders from the Sheriff’s office, EMS, Kansas Highway Patrol and fire units filled two ambulances and a couple of fire trucks, stuffed full of gifts, given by individuals and local businesses. The toys were given to organizations, E-Cat in Osage City and Help House in Lyndon. Parents will have the opportunity to pick out the perfect gift for their kids, starting later this week.
