As the first semester of the school year winds down, the USD 290 Board of Education is in the process of deciding whether or not to extend the Thanksgiving break into a full week. Many school districts in our area already do, but Superintendent Dr. Ryan Cobbs says there are other considerations:
The School Board will discuss the decision during their next meeting in January. They are also considering the option of putting out a two year calendar instead of the traditional one year calendar.
