Financial Advisor Referral Company “Smart Asset” has ranked Anderson County 9th out of all counties in Kansas in overall wealth growth over the past 10 years, in a study that compared increases in property values, median income and investment growth in all 50 states over that period. Most of Anderson County’s overall wealth increase came in the form of increasing property value, according to the study, both in higher values for existing properties and increases from improvements – new construction of homes in rural areas of the county over the past decade the analysis showed the county’s median home value raw growth at more than $125,000 over the comparison period.
Median income in Anderson County grew $14,602 over the period compared to $11,992 statewide according to the figures. The overall composite score for wealth index growth came in at 33.02.
