After three years under new ownership, the Midway Drive-In property is up for sale again. Michael and Heather Wood bought the drive-in three years ago and revamped it and reopened it in 2021. A social media post says the decision has been tough, but the decision was made to put it on the market. The post says more will be shared in coming days. According to the Miami County Republic, the couple declined comment when asked to elaborate on their decision to sell.
The Midway Drive-In, located on 327th Street “midway” between Paola and Osawatomie, is one of only a handful of drive-in movie theaters left in Kansas. Crown Realty has the listing at a price of $599,000 , saying it is 9 plus acres and encourages interested parties to consider purchasing it to continue as a drive in or to use the commercial zoned lot for another purpose.
