One of the top stories in the Miami County this past year was the beginning of construction on a new solar array for the City of Osawatomie. In October the city and Evergy broke ground on the 40 acre solar array. Special Consultant and Former City Manager, Mike Scanlon, says in partnering with Evergy, they are seeking to provide a steady source of energy for the town for a long time to come.
The project is expected to be completed in the fall of 2024 and, once, complete, provide low cost energy benefits to the community.
