Guess what I’m doing this weekend? Winning the Powerball is in the plans. The Powerball Jackpot has grown to $760 million for tomorrow night’s drawing. The question is, how am I going to take my winnings. There are two payout options a Powerball Jackpot winner chooses from: the cash lump sum payment and the annuitized option. The cash option give you half the jackpot all at once, or you can take an annuity that, after an initial payment will be followed by 29 annual payments that increase by 5 percent each year. After taxes, with the lump sum, you would end up with about $241 million. That is what I’m taking. Now, I’ll have to listen to my friends gripe about why I took to little of a huge prize and, once again, I will remind them that iI have $241 million more than they have and they aint… gettin’… jack squat…nothin.
