An accident yesterday afternoon, December 28th, at 23rd and Eisenhower sent an Ottawa woman to the hospital with serious injuries. The accident occurred just before noon. No a lot of details are known about the crash at this time, however, we do know that 73-year-old Cheryl Elbs Ward suffered serious injuries. She was take by Franklin County EMS to an area hospital for treatment of her injuries.
According to a social media post from her daughter and granddaughter, Ward suffered a spinal fracture and a laceration on her head requiring 17 staples, and other injuries. She was admitted to the intensive care unit at the hospital. Some good news, those posts say Sheryl is awake and talking with her family.
