With the new Kansas Legislative Session starting Monday, January 8th, in Topeka, one issue bound to come up quickly is Medicaid expansion. After a handful of unsuccessful attempts, Governor Laura Kelly says she’s taken a new approach in the uphill battle to get lawmakers to approve the expansion. She took it to the people:
Kelly says she feels GOP leadership is out of touch with what their members – and the public – want. Instead of working directly with leadership to push her proposal, she’s taking the message to the public and encouraging them to contact their representatives.
