The annual Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet was held last night, Friday, January 26th, at Ottawa University. One of the awards given was the Russell Crites Award, given to a person who has shown outstanding leadership in Ottawa over an extended period of time. That award went to Jim Hepner. Known for his humor, Hepner added it to his acceptance speech:
The Entrepreneur Award went to Lisa Meyers of Front Porch Antiques. The Horizon Award to Jacob Boyd of Edward Jones Investments. The Community Builder Award went to KOFO’s own Derek Chappell, and the Smile Award went to Franklin County Health Department Director, Brenda Pfizenmaier.
