Ducks are supposed to waddle, not your pet cat or dog. Many veterinarians report an epidemic of overweight pets. Kansas State University Vet Dr. Susan Nelson says having a fat pet can really lead to some serious health issues for the animal:
She suggests getting your pet into a vet’s office as soon as you start to notice they are overweight. They can suggest ways to increase exercise for the cat and set up a healthy diet for them also, and, who knows, getting out to walk the dog more, might carry over to you and help you drop a few pound also.
