A request from the city of Baldwin that the Franklin County Commission write a letter of support for a grant application for the Maple Leaf Trail from Baldwin to Ottawa is receiving a mixed reaction. Most of the commissioners were supportive of the letter, but Commissioner Roy Dunn had a piece to say:
The County Commission has previously written a letter of support for the project, but it did not get funded at the time.
