The city of Ottawa and the Kansas Department of Transportation have partnered in the creation of an Access Management Plan along K-68 from Spruce Street to I-35. The plan will provide guidance in identifying transportation improvements to keep traffic moving safely and efficiently when development occurs.
K-DOT and the city of Ottawa will hold a meeting, with property owners affected by the area, to talk about any potential plans for development. Officials say understanding the development plans will help steer concepts for road improvements over the next 20 years. That meeting will be held this afternoon, February 13th, at 4:00 at Ottawa City Hall. Representatives from K-DOT will be on hand to provide information and provide an initial list of options to help meet future transportation needs.
