If you do business at the C and D Landfill, you might wonder how much more it can hold. After results came back from a study saying the landfill only had a few years of life left, Franklin County officials knew they needed to act quickly to find a way to expand the life of the location. Public Works Director, David Lee, says with the new plan, it’ll be around quite a while:
C and D stands for Construction and Demolition. It’s a place where contractors can haul debris from building sites,such as bricks, concrete, roofing materials, soil, rock, wood, wood products, wall or floor coverings and more.
