The city of Ottawa has recognized a very valuable employee on his completion of the Electric Lineman Apprenticeship Program. Chris Kraus now has all rights and benefits afforded a Journeyman Lineman.
Chris came to work for the city of Ottawa in 2017 as a labor maintenance worker in the Parks Department. In July of 2018 he transferred to the Electric Distribution Department as a Groundman. Utilities Director Dan Riney:
Over the past four years he has completed 8,000 hours of experience and completed all the class work required.
City officials say Chris is a vital member of the Electric Distribution Crew and is respected by his co-workers. His knowledge and abilities add tremendous value to the Electric Distribution Team.
