Despite signing legislation into law last year banning Tik Tok accounts on government electronic devices due to inherent national security risks, President Biden has his own personal account. He made a post during the Super Bowl and this concerns many legislators, including Kansas Senator Jerry Moran who, along with 20 other senators have called for the President to delete his Tik Tok account.

The company is owned by Byte Dance, a company known to be controlled by the Chinese Communist party. The FBI says Tik Tok screams out nation security problems, calling it a loaded gun. The Department of Defense has imposed a Tik Tok prohibition on defense contractors, and the President himself has voiced concerns in the past. The senators ask the President how the federal government can warn the people of this threat and then have his own account. How can government employees be expected to honor a ban on official devices when the President himself has an account? They have asked Biden to deleted the account and publicly acknowledge the security threat it imposes.
