It has been a practice for several years for Franklin County Emergency Medical Officials to do what is called a “move-up” of the Wellsville ambulance, which simply means moving it for a time from its station to a location where there is a higher call volume. During a Franklin County Commission Study Session, County Administrator, Derek Brown, said it may be time to re-examine the practice:
Some data going back to 2018, indicates that in most cases, moving the Wellsville ambulance may not be necessary and in most cases, the vehicle is not used very often when a move up is done.
