Some members of the Ottawa City Commission spent last week in Washington D. C. at the National League Cities Convention. It gave the members of the commission that attended, an opportunity to have one-on-one time with the Kansas Congressional Delegation and talk with other Kansas municipal leaders about items before the legislation that would benefit Kansas.
City Manager Brian Silcott says a couple of items discussed were the importance of realizing how topics of concern are not only problems here, but nationwide and, the importance of a balanced budget:
