If the Prairie Sunlight Solar Farm southeast of Ottawa actually gets built, the tax benefits could be substantial. The project developer is Orion Renewable Energy, and Orion spokesman Michael Cressner says if the project is allowed to get to the projected size, a lot of people will benefit, as they plan to invest over $400 million in Franklin County.
Orion officials expect to file a formal project application within a few months.
