A number of recent sales of properties for delinquent taxes apparently yielded some good prices. Franklin County Clerk, Janet Paddock, gave some details to the County Commission:
In other news, the County Commission made decisions on amounts of annual contributions to community partners. While holding some contributions level and giving slight increases to others, perhaps the biggest change was the Franklin County Conservation District, which had asked for a nearly 12 1/2% increase but in the end, the county decided to only increase the amount from the current $49,820, to an even $50,000 for the 2025 Fiscal year. That is about a three tenths of one percent increase.
