Kansas Senator, Caryn Tyson, is using a rock and roll adage to stand up for what she believes in, the truth. In her weekly newsletter, she quoted legendary rocker Tom Petty:
She says lies are rampant in the Capital, she will not back down and will always stand for the truth. She gave a couple of examples. Tyson says a reporter wrote a story that accused her of using foul language. That was contradicted by multiple witnesses that were sitting next to her; however, the reporter and his editor refused to print a retraction. Another example she gives is a Representative and others that continue to say that she is blocking legislation for veterans. Tyson says that is the furthest thing from the truth and says she has worked diligently to pass tax relief for disabled veterans and others.
She says there are more examples of misleading information and what she calls fake news. However, she will not back down and will continue to stand for the truth, as should everyone else
