You have a chance to see the interview process for replacing a judge. The 4th Judicial District Nominating Commission will convene at 8:30, in the morning April 25th, to interview nominees to fill a District Magistrate Judge vacancy in Franklin County. The vacancy was created by the March 1st retirement of District Magistrate Judge Kevin Kimball. The 4th Judicial District is composed of Anderson, Coffey, Franklin, and Osage Counties.
Three candidates will be interviewed. First, at 9:30, Topeka Attorney David Braun. Second, at 10:00, Ottawa Attorney Joseph Falls, and finally, at 10:30, Ottawa Court Services Officer, Todd Rhodes.
Interviews are open to the public. They will take place at the Franklin County District Court Building, in the basement library.
