Recently the city of Ottawa debuted a new alert system for telling citizens about trouble spots in the city. If you want to take advantage of a new alert system in Ottawa. Don’t think just because you were on the old system, you’ll be on the new one. Information Technology Director, Paul Sommer, says plan on signing up again:
Sommer says the old system just didn’t have enough capability. The new one will be able to target residents in a specific area based on their address. Sommer says already over 700 people have signed up for the new system.
