Registration is now open for an event that will partner kids with firefighters. Fishing’s Future and the Ottawa Fire Department are excited to announce that after a five year hiatus, Fishing With Firefighters is back! The event will team kids with firefighters to learn the basics of fishing. KOFO’s Brad Howard spoke with Ottawa Fire Department Fire Prevention Coordinator, Lieutenant Mike Wilson:

He adds that firefighters will help bait hooks and take any fish caught off the hooks. Registration is online only. The event is June 22nd and is free, but, limited to 75 entrants. The link to registration is posted on the Ottawa Fire Department and KOFO’s facebook page.
