The Ottawa City Commission will meet this afternoon and one item on the agenda is the discussion of installing a Safe Haven Baby Box at the Ottawa Fire Station. Angela Malik, who’s five year old daughter passed away two years ago, would like to install the box in honor of her daughter . The box provides a way for a mother, out of options, to give up her baby legally and anonymously. Ottawa Fire Department Fire Prevention Coordinator, Mike Wilson, describes the box:
