Recently, Miami County Undersheriff Kelly met with fourteen cross-disciplined commanders from across the region who are attending the 40 hour training for Command Level Peer Support. Undersheriff Kelly is the Co-Chair for the program which consists of over 100 cross disciplined commanders in the region, who are available at a moments notice to any commander experiencing a crisis. Captain Ethan Rodgers attended the course. Sheriff Kelly and Captain Roush have previously attended the training. Multiple other commanders in Miami County have attended the course as well.
Also, the Miami County Sheriff’s Department would like to remind all motorists that right now is a very busy time for farmers and many farm implements will be on the road. Farmers will be out early in the morning till late at night working the fields. The sheriff’s office asks that motorist share the road and give them space. Farm equipment usually travel at slower speed, are wider than the lane of travel and have viewing obstruction and may not be able to see you behind them. Please use extra caution when passing and be sure to let them get as far over as possible when it is safe to pass.
