The Franklin County Historical Society has announced that the Old Depot Museum will host a traveling exhibit called “The American Revolution Experience”. It is made possible by the American Battlefield Trust and the Daughters Of the American Revolution. The innovative pop-up exhibition includes display panels and interactive digital kiosks that use storytelling, illustration, technology, unique artifacts and primary accounts to connect modern audiences with the people and places that shaped the birth of our Nation. The exhibit will be on display at the Old Depot Museum from July 22nd to the 31st. They will hold a Chamber Coffee on the 26th and the public is invited.
KOFO will have much more information on this exhibit in the near future, plus information on a major fundraiser for the Historical Society in July, featuring John Mark Lambertson presenting the History of the Ottawa Indians and the Ottawa Mission Cemetery.
Historical Society Director, Diana Staresinic-Deane, will have much more on the exhibit, plus several other programs concerning the historical aspects of Franklin County on KOFO’s Community Perspective on Sunday, July 7th.
