The Franklin County Board of Commissioners met yesterday morning. In case you missed the meeting, here is a recap. County Administrator Derek Brown announced that Jeff Welton has been appointed the Public Works Director, following his interim role for a few months. Also, Rusty Taul was introduced as the Road & Bridge Maintenance Superintendent, and Justin McCurdy as the Road Project & Improvement Superintendent.
EMS Chief Christi Hilliker shared that they picked up the new ambulance – Medic 4. They are working on obtaining state licensing and preparing it for use.
Franklin County Development Council Executive Director Paul Bean shared that Franklin County E-Community recently approved two new gap-loans for local businesses totaling $68,000 and a 1.6% cost of living adjustment was approved for county employees. It had been budgeted for the current fiscal year and staff confirmed that revenues are within the appropriate range to implement the adjustment.
Finally, a dedication for the final plat for Serenity Acres was approved.
