Did you try to get your favorite donut yesterday, July 1, and were disappointed that Daylight Donuts wasn’t open? Daylight Donut’s owner, Charity McCain, says the time has finally come for them to move to their new location, caddy-corner from where they are right now. The move has been in the works for a couple years. They are moving for two reasons. One, Hope Anthem Church purchased the entire corner lot where the business has been located for many years and will be building a larger facility that will include the area where Daylight Donuts is. A second reason is they have outgrown the location and need extra room.
McCain says she and her employees will spend the entire week moving all the equipment and supplies across the street and if you would like to help, stop in and let them know.
Two other businesses on the lot will have to relocate eventually… Sno Shack, who has been serving snow cones at the same location for years and Kooler Ice and water dispenser that has been there for the past several years. No word on their plans when the time comes for the church to build. In the meantime, sit tight and you’ll get your donut fix back in about a week.
