Kansas Governor Laura Kelly plans to attend a meeting with President Joe Biden and other Democratic Governors tomorrow. The meeting’s guestlist will also include some Democratic Congressional leaders. According to analysts, this meeting is the strongest indication yet that Biden is working to calm the nerves of Democrats who may believe he is not fit to continue the campaign.
In a statement last week, Kelly restated her support for Biden, saying Biden’s record of delivering bipartisan results speaks for itself. She says his efforts will continue to allow Kansas to recruit new manufacturing businesses, rebuild our infrastructure, and stand up for our fundamental freedoms and she will support him in November. The Kansas Democratic Party is also backing Biden, even after what many consider a shaky performance at the first Presidential Debate.
