The annual Fill the Bus Campaign, collecting school supplies for those in need starts today. Volunteers from the Franklin County United Way will be in the entrances to Walmart collecting traditional school supplies such as pencils, crayons, paper, notebooks, glue and such. But, there are other supplies kids really need, like healthy snacks, clothing, hygiene products, even shoes, coats and gloves. United Way Director Leigh Hanson:
You can help with the effort. Volunteers are needed starting this afternoon, July 13th, at 4:45. To volunteer give United Way Director Leigh Hanson a call at 785-418-2015, or check their facebook page for more information. Let’s fill the bus and get those in need, off on the right foot this school year.
