While the new cashless tolling system on the Kansas Turnpike was designed to improve efficiency for drivers, new technology can also open the door to new threats. The FBI recently reported an uptick in complaints regarding fake road toll collection service texts and Kansas is not immune. With cashless tolling starting, the Kansas Turnpike Authority and Better Business Bureau want to help Kansans understand the new process and recognize the warning signs of a scam before it’s too late.
